Someone wrote me the sweetest email about this silly little blog. He said he admired the way I “attacked the love and your life.” Because I was in the middle of something I read it as, “I admire the way you attack the love of your life.” It made me want to rush home and check the mini-blinds. That’s me, rushing to conclusions. Instead, I realized English wasn’t his first language, so I reread it and had a good laugh. He said the only thing missing was the “100 things about me” post and dared me to create one. Actually dared me! I was tempted to dig up the one from MySpace but refrained simply because I’m not that person anymore. I now can go to a party and not feel like the naked wallflower with zits, vericose veins, hangnails and split ends. I now can pick up the phone and talk to Germany. I now can walk by a dog without breaking into a cold sweat. I can step over an anthill without screaming bloody murder.
So, G – thank you. Thank you for letting me look at myself. It was fun. So, here you go. Instead of looking in the mirror and sizing up the image with a critical eye, I laughed my way through 100 things.
I need to edit my 100 Things About Me blog that I did in response to your original on Crackspace. I re-read it today on my blog on here, and it feels dated and silly. Some of it is just plain wrong now too….
been transferring my old stuff to this new space and now I see, what I should do is create rather than just duplicate…this is why I like reading your blog, gets me thinking and feeling a bit more creative…:)
I guess the way to look at it (blogging) is to ask yourself why you write in the first place. Then, the task is make the space what you intend it to be. I only read three blogs on wordpress because everything else doesn’t seem to have focus.
I don’t know who is reading mine, nobody has left any comments, but I seem to get 10 or more hits a day…most peculiar…
yeah, some focus would be nice…some criticism would be nice too if you find the time…can email me if you prefer not to comment directly on the blog 🙂
I don’t think you’ll ever know who reads your blogs or why. Yesterday 40 people looked at *just* my Anne Frank book review. I haven’t the foggiest idea why (bored, perhaps?)
I’m out of practice with giving feedback on other people’s writing, but I would suggest defining why you write and then write for yourself only. That’s a start. Good luck.
for GM~ my 100 things is in the about section if you hadn’t guessed – as promised! 😉
I am proud of you my friend~ got me with the anthill! 😉
I’m getting there, as they say!
