Forgive Me

Days End

I have been hiding behind book reviews and poetry for days on end. Two poems for every one book. Reading like a fiend seems to suit me. Sorry.
I’ve started to tell you about the weirdest things ~ Kisa murdering the ladybugs in the bathroom, the end of N&ZY, my heartbreak over a breakup, the amazing work I’ve done with MSR, the crap I’ve been handed at AIC, how homesick I am, how little I’ve run, the need to hear my music again (go where we haven’t I don’t dare), Natalie, Germany, Sin City, Taka Tak, being stood up, being letdown, sex in my city, Comic Book Tattoo, Darfur, Boston Celtics, wine, angry black man, gun to my heart, arthritis and friends too far away.

I’ve started to tell you about all these things. Yet, I can’t. Instead I tell you about what I’ve read and read and read.
Forgive me.

  1. What… you mean to tell me books are more important???
πŸ˜‰ As I have said before, I want to crawl into the binder and morph into the pages most days. Why is that?
I would read read and read all the time if I could!
    Forgiven indeed…

  2. time for oneself requires no forgiveness. you’ll tell your stories when you’re ready. until then i’ll “read” through you since lord knows i don’t have time to pick up a book!!! πŸ™‚ are we still on for tomorrow night?

  3. ::hugs:: love you, no matter what you post. I admit, poetry’s not my thing so I’m not rabidly consuming every word of it-but it’s still nice to hear from you. And when you’re ready to post your friends will be here reading. πŸ™‚

  4. I like that… what becelisa said.
“Time for oneself requires no forgiveness”
I will have to embed that one in my soul. I seem to feel the need to ask forgiveness too when I take timeforme. Ironic huh?
BTW…starting a new Alice Hoffman tonight. “The Probable Future” I love her books…

  5. timeforme~ you should see the backlog of started blatherings. So much to say but no time to really make it right. Ugh. Love, love, love Alice Hoffman. I have 7 of her books on my list but “Probable Future” isn’t one of them. You’ll have to tell me how it is. I would love to hear your review!

  6. Bec~ YES! Yes are on for tonight. If tomorrow night works better I am all by my lonesome…let me know.

ps~ as always you say the most amazing things…thanks!

  7. manda! You sweet thing! I love you , too.
I have to admit, I was dreading the whole poetry thing, but some of it is actually pretty funny. Wait until you skim the one about the Elephant of the Sea. It’s great! xoxox

  8. tonight or tomorrow … either works for me. since you’re by your lonesome tomorrow, would that be better for you? just let me know.

  9. how about tomorrow? that way i can stand in the wino aisle tonight and ponder my poison (rather than in the middle of the afternoon – like that makes a difference)….

  10. it’s always five o’clock somewhere so the wino aisle has no time restrictions πŸ™‚

tomorrow sounds good. i’ll call once i get the kiddo settled in for a movie.
